Hey there!
I wanted to provide a little bit more information about myself.
As I said on the home page, God has been a part of my life, well forever. I accepted Jesus into my life at a young age and grew up in church. Growing up I was United Methodist but I am now Baptist. As a teenager, I was a summer missionary and was very active in youth group. For most of my adult life (you will learn more about this later), I have been involved in church in numerous ways from teaching Sunday School to singing in the choir. I like to call myself an old Christian 😉.
When I decided to finally answer God's call, after several years of wandering around in the proverbial desert, I decided to become a Pastoral Counselor So I started my Master's in Pastoral Counseling at Liberty University.
I tell you all of this to say that I am in no way a Theologian. Though I am pretty tight with someone who has a Master's in Divinity (shout out to my dad). What I write in my blog is from personal experience. There will be Bible verses and even some things I learned in school thrown in. However, I am by no means an expert when it comes to Pastoral Counseling (not yet anyway 😀). Nor am I a therapist or mental health professional.
My blog is meant to show you things I have experienced in the past and things I experience now. It will show the ways I made it and make it through difficult times. Most of all, it will show you the power of God's grace during our most difficult moments.
My prayer is that through my blog, you find hope and develop a strong relationship with God and His Son.
So come join me as we walk through this life together, holding on to our Heavenly Father, and surviving by His grace.
Becky
